Côte d'Ivoire is West Africa's power hub: 3,019 MW installed (2024), near-universal urban access and exports to six neighbours. Under its Mission 300 national energy pact (US$6.56 B, 2025-2030) and a $300 M US grant ratified in August 2026, the country is modernising its grid and targeting a 45 % renewable share by 2030.

Grid modernisation and WAPP regional trade pull demand for switchgear, transformers, protection and SCADA — TC × HIER's electrical-equipment lines. Hydropower keeps growing: Gribo-Popoli joined the fleet in 2024, and further run-of-river sites on the Bandama and Sassandra basins remain to be developed.
Rural electrification is the volume market: the PEPT programme added over 539,000 connections in 2024, and mini-grids extend reach where the grid is thin. Standardised, pre-engineered hydro and hydro-solar mini-grid packages shorten delivery times for such programmes.
